This week, we're showcasing a collection that's quite relateable - considering we've all been there, done that!.. Let's rewind : )
..THE SCHOOL GIRL - is back again!
I've aways been a fan of the typical "school girl" look. The idea of "dressing it up" even when I was in middle school still makes me happy.
Showcasing 3 absolutely different avatars of the regular school girl, these self illustrated & self designed looks are worth a watch : )

OUT OF SCHOOL
Look 1: Gray shirt with pink collar & pink-blck striped tie. Light pink shorts with brown belt leather-suade pump-stilettos with front dividing straps & lace.
Look 2: White shirt with double black-white collar tied to the waist. Light gray jacker with white cuff. Dark gray-black ruffled layered skirt with violet leather belt. Knee length socks with ballet platforms.

THE CLASSIC GOOD GIRL
Look 1: Puff sleeved beige shirt with scallop brown collar & white placket. Volumed occur skirt ith brown under skirt and brown waist extension + brown divders. Above ankle legth socks with ballet flat tie-ups.
Look 2: Off-white shirt with orange collar + Occur over shirt with brown collar and orange waist bow. Box pleated beige-off white skirt with orange-brown buckle ballet flats.

VINTAGE MEETS PUNK Look 1: Light gray flowy skirt with black mini frill & pink waist band. Full sleeved black unleveled jacket with pink cuff & baby pink neck frill. Pointed suede ballet flats.
Look 2: Black ballet skirt with blue under skirt. Black cowl neck blouse with light blue jacket & blue collar. Light blue knee-length socks with black ankle length boots.

<3 : The past 2 weeks have probably been the most hectic and tiring 2 weeks ever! Loads of college work, running around & to top that, my best friend's birthday! Promise to be more regular with the blogging!

TSF & RESORT WEAR : )

So, in our previous post we showcased TSF's pick for 2011 RESORT WEAR...CHANEL!
Today, we're in fact, showcasing an array of resort wear looks that are self illustrated & designed :)
Illustrated with basic pencils and water colors, do tell us how you liked them :)

Look 1: Loose draped sheer mustard top with crimson-brown denim belt & matching shorts. Tie up wedge heels + gold-brown wrist trinkets. All set to face the afternoon sun in style.

Look 2: Off-shoulder white top with a baby magenta corsage & magenta denim pocket skirt. White handbag with brown leather detailing and green tie. Cut-work heels with white ankle cuff & green-brown wrist accessories.

Look 1: Cowl neck light gray tank with a sheer green tie-up crop shirt. Gray shorts with orange detailing & orange skinny belt. Enclosed wedges to match the look & cowl orange handbag with wooden handle.

Look 2: Gathered in-cut white tee with high-waisted pink crop-gathered palazzos. Dark maroon leather belt with gold buckle. White-gold-magenta heels to match the look.

RESORT WEAR - Spells different things for different people.
There’s a thin line between cruise wear, beach wear and resort wear. RESORT WEAR particularly, incorporates absolute comforable, chilled out clothing. As the name suggests, resort wear is clearly inspired by the concept of a resort or a vacation.

After viewing the 2011 Resort Wear collections of a series of fabulous designers, we narrowed down to 2 very different fashion houses that showcased Resort Wear in their own unique way. We're showcasing our favorite one first.. 


CHANEL : In its own feminine way, CHANEL 2011 RESORT WEAR encompasses a range of very typical resort wear that's classic and comfortable.
Using soft hues, nude shades, subtle tones in addition to specifics like solid navy blue & gray, TSF loves Chanel's resort wear collection this season. Primarily because it's classic. Just like Chanel.

We love the print, the bloomer mini shorts and the tied over throw. The whole look is classic resort and efinitely TSF's pick this season!

A Fresh Start

Hello readers :)
So, for starters.. I'm S :). Currently studying in my first year fashion design in the fabulous city of Mumbai, India! I'm also currently interning with a reputed fashion house since over a month.
Fashion has always been the only thing I've ever wanted to pursue ever since I was 9.. And as cliche as it may seem, I'm beyond thrilled to reach a point where I finally get to study it in depth with the guarantee that THIS is it for me.
Studying fashion required hours of hard work, numeruous submissions and endless deadlines to meet.. I never thought it could get so time consuming. But, it's absolutely worth it :)


Browsing magaines, reading fashion books, illustrating endlessly and never failing to dream magnificent dreams od being an acclaimed designer & fashion writer someday are only few of my many reasons why I'm choosing to blog.
Dressing up or dressing down, whatever you pick, I've always believed that the key to a great night out or a chilled out day in would be feeling good about yourself. And for me, feeling good is KEY!


In "TSF- THE STYLE FILE", I'm going to take you around the world of fashion, finding glimpses of the unique styles of varied fashion icons, designers, fashion houses and even simple normal people like you and me.. Reinventive and experiemental styles. Forms of fashion. Comparative studies between designers.. Inspirational fashion stories.. Must watch fashion insights & consistent favorite collections every season.. Making a complete masterpiece out of the oldest clothes in your wardrobe.. Yep, we're all going to get to that every week in THE STYLE FILE.
